About me
Hello! I’m Rosa Balderrama, a passionate cellist and dedicated music educator based in Columbus, Ohio. I am currently accepting new students at my private studio near Upper Arlington.
My goal is to foster a deep love and appreciation for music beyond just the cello while equipping students with the skills and confidence to express themselves artistically. I strive to develop not only proficient cellists, but thoughtful musicians who share their art with empathy and a desire to connect with others.
Lessons take place in my home studio, where I live with my husband, Jacob, and our cats, Yo-Yo and Pablo.

This initial meeting—offered online or in person—is designed for both parent(s) and student. We’ll take time to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and explore what we can accomplish together through lessons. This is a conversation-based session with no playing required.
